DIY Homemade Solar Panel and Wind Generator Guides.

Russ and Sher

Are you the do it yourself type? Are you interested in harnessing the free power of the sun or wind to reduce your energy costs?  If so, then you are at the right place.

If you have already looked into purchasing solar panels or wind turbines, then you know they don't come cheap.  However homeowners and other small end users can still employ low cost do it yourself renewable energy solutions to help reduce energy costs, with a minimal up front investment.

When I was searching for a good DIY renewable energy guide to start my own solar project, I quickly realized I wasn't going to find reliable information on the internet concerning the quality of these products. I then decided to purchase each one of these guides to see for myself what they were about.

What follows is my thorough review and personal opinion of each of these guides.

Our #1 Choice for the Best Overall Package!

When I started comparing DIY energy guides one thing that I noticed was that a lot of them contained basically the same information. This is true in the case of the products I selected as my #1 and #2 product, with some minor differences. Even though they are a relatively new entry into the renewable energy DIY market, GreenDIYEnergy stands out as the top product. It is apparent that the creators of this product really do know what they are doing, and put a lot of work into creating a comprehensive, and user friendly DIY guide.

GreenDIYEnergy has created a good DIY renewable energy guide that any do it yourselfer will appreciate for it's abundance of information, including good quality videos, illustrations and lot's of bonuses.

Earth4Energy was actually the first renewable energy guide that I bought. In fact, when I bought this guide the #1 product wasn't even on the market yet.

After a thorough comparison of the two guides, I felt that Earth4Energy should be featured as the #2 product. This is certainly a good guide that offers complete and up to date information, but in my opinion it comes up a little short of what is offered in GreenDIYEnergy.

That being said, it's still a good value, especially considering the money you will be saving over the long term. Any of these guides will show you how to build a solar panel, and it's not just about what is included, but how it's all presented.

Efficient Planet is one of those guides that offer a fairly comprehensive solution for those wanting to generate their own power.
The guides we reviewed were well laid out with step by step, fully illustrated plans that you can use to easily construct your own power system.   The guides also included important information on what to do before starting, so that you can design and build a system for your home that will last for many years to come.

When compared to the other renewable energy guides we feature, Efficient Planet comes up a little short - mainly due to the lack of any videos. The guide itself does offer basic instruction on making a solar panel or wind generator, but little else aside from one bonus ebook.
